A Home Away From Home

Open Call ‘A Home away from Home’: new housing solutions for asylum seekers and other urgent groups

The temporary housing solution for asylum seekers is just as temporary as the used materials for construction, by designing for disassembly.

The used materials are either biobased, reused or reusable.

Space for communal activities is located in the heart of the building, combined with greenery and horticulture.

The main structural elements are built up from standardized, modular elements that can easily be reused in the construction industry.

All other materials are bio-based, so they re-enter the bio-sphere after use.
